Another 4 months gone. It's all good. I got quite a bit done actually just in the past week or two. In fact, the thing's very close
to being ready for beta release. Finally decided on the (initial, at least) GUI layout. I had been drawing rectangles with "File/Edit/Help"
at the top for ... a long time, trying to figure-out how to make the ugly guts of the program pretty & usable. I studied various programs -
both trading & non-, and finally decided on my own approach.
So... I got the GUI looking the way I want it. It uses an MDI Parent window...but no children. At least not for now. And it uses a
treeview control to choose various screens - such as Accounts, Backtesting, Realtime Trading, Historical Prices etc. When you click on a tree
node on the left-hand side of the screen, it opens the corresponding screen (actually a panel, some of which use tabcontrols &
datagridviews.)

WOW! I've been trying to figure-out for EIGHT MONTHS (off & on, give or take) why the hell I couldn't add a blog entry to this stupid website. I use DotNetNuke which is given free by my webhosting company as a content manager. Anyway, I suddenly couldn't add blog entries anymore. Turned-out there's an error in a config file. One little tiny stinkin' character was mis-typed by some programmer somewhere in DotNetNuke-land. *sigh*
Anyway, I'm back in the saddle, I got my Visual Studio 2005 fired-up, and I'm back in the thick of programming again. I am committed 100% (since Ron Paul's seemingly out of the 2008 presidential race  ) to finishing RoboticForexTrader.
